Richard M. Badger, President
|
Richard M. Badger is a Milwaukee native who's been actively connected to the Movement for over 8 years, during this time Richard has served as Policy & Politics Chair and Vice-President. Richard's commitment to the community has made him a core staple in the Metro Milwaukee area through countless civic roles.
Richard is Director at one of Milwaukee's most prominent community development firms, Mosaics on Burleigh. Prior to he enjoyed a succcessful career at the Office of Mayor Tom Barrett as the key Assistant to Mayor Tom Barrett. Richard also serves on the Executive Board of the Milwaukee Urban League & the YMCA of Greater Milwaukee.
Richard is an alumnus of the University of Wisconsin at Milwaukee, with a BA in Business Management, and a proud member of Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church.

Shantel S. Bacchus,Vice President

Shantel S. Bacchus CEO/President of Bacchus Financial Resources, Inc. A Milwaukee native, Shantel has been dedicated to the Urban League Young Professionals for over 4 years. Her sharp leadership aptitude continues to be an integral part of the Movement, previously serving as Fundraising Chair, Shantel bring's a plethora of financial expertise. A successful Sales Consultant for Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, Shantel's procurement of Corporate Partnerships & Sponsors for Milwaukee Urban League Young Professionals, has helped expand the organizations Corporate visibility.
Shantel also serves on the Board for the YMCA of Greater Milwaukee.

Taffie-Foster Toney, Secretary |
Taffie Foster-Toney is no stranger to hard-work & dedication. Taffie's passion for community service is reflected in her constant involvement for the Movement. She's recorded countless community service hours and has been nominated three years consecutively by her peers for NULYP's Central Region's Outstanding Member.
Taffie is a Production Planner at Dana Corporation, and is a proud alumnus of Concordia University.

Ervin Riley, Parliamentarian |
Ervin Riley is a Milwaukee native. He comes to us with a wealth of community service experience, currently serving on several boards throughout the city of Milwaukee. Ervin has worked in the Industrial trade vocation for a number of years, and he is poised to assist MULYP in its organizational procedures.

Reggie Newson, Immediate Past President

Immediate Past President role is to advise and assist the executive board as the immediate past president. Remains active in committee work as designated by the President in the planning and implementation activities of the Executive Board, and may provide consultation in the areas of organizational structure.

Katherine Morris, Community Service Chair

Community Service Committee Through community outreach interaction programs, our members can actively serve their community. This integral committee works hard to not only provide opportunities, but also works with existing community service organizations to help enhance our community as a whole while providing an outlet for young professionals in the Milwaukee area an opportunity to give back to their community. The committee is involved in many areas of service, such as programs that help improve the well-beng of children & families, education and literacy, and various cause focused run/walks. Membership Committee organizes all efforts to attract, and retain members, including New Member Orientation, working to secure Corporate Sponsor/Partnerships. Ketiwe Zipperer, Fundraising Chair

Fundraising Committee Oversees the raising of money for MULYP projects and scholarships though corporate development, grants, social activities, auctions, holiday events, golf and bowling tournaments, black tie events, and so forth. This committee will have the opportunity to work with other committees that share the load.

Personal & Professional Development Committee determines the professional development needs of membership, identifies new initiatives to cultivate members. The primary objective is to design and support professional development activities for members to fulfill their personal, and professional needs and goals. This can be developed through financial literacy workshops, resume development opportunities, and business acumen tips.

Caroline Archia-Adams, Policy & Politics Chair

Policy & Politics Committee Plans various events (i.e. candidate forums and voter registration drives) using various platforms, which help to ensure that the community at large is informed and educated on issues that affect their lives and communities. As part of the national agenda, the Politics and Policy committee also works to engage its constituents in the political process and encourage them to affect change for better communities.

Sabrina Jackson, Public Relations Chair

Public Relations Committee Manages all communications and social media applications. Promotes the events and activities of the group. Conducts regular e-mail updates, and media relations. Goals are getting information out to the public about community events, and projects the young professionals work on; promoting the image of the young professionals. This can be done through developing the website, e-newsletters, news releases, and marketing/promotional materials.

Social & Cultural Committee Plans social and cultural-awareness events for the MULYP. Increases the camaraderie of MULYP membership. Goals are to seek out opportunities for members to socialize and be exposed to their cultural heritage. This can be done through networkering events, guest speakers, holiday events, plays, and so forth.
